Texas to receive nearly 600,000 first doses

As Texasâ winter storm finally comes to an end, more doses of the COVID-19 vaccine will be distributed statewide for the week of Feb. 22. In Henderson County, providers, 10 providers will receive a total of 1,500 doses of the vaccine.
During Week 11 of Texasâ distribution plan, Brookshires Pharmacy in Athens, Mabank, Kemp, and Chandler will each receive 100 doses. In Athens, Renal Care Group, Family Circle of Care, UT Health East Texas, Christus Trinity Mother Frances and Lakeland, as well as Lakeland Medical Associates in Mabank, will each receive 200 doses.
In addition to the weekly allotments, the state is also ordering 364,830 second doses.

TYLER, Texas The Tyler Police Department is asking drivers to avoid the following areas listed below due to cold weather conditions in the area.
The Gentry Parkway overpass at the intersection of Gentry Parkway and North Beckham Avenue.
The Beckham Avenue overpass leading to UT Health East Texas and Christus Trinity Mother Francis Hospitals.
The bridge over West Mud Creek on South Broadway and West Grande Boulevard is shut down after a vehicle lost control due to ice on the surface.
UT Health East Texas physicians clinics to close Monday due to weather

TYLER, Texas All UT Health East Texas Physicians clinics will be closed Monday due to inclement weather, UT Health announced on Friday.
The health system says this also includes the COVID-19 vaccine clinic at the UT Health Science Center, located at 11937 U.S. Highway 271.
Anyone who has a COVID-19 vaccine appointment Monday may come to the clinic to receive their second dose on another day next week. They will not need a scheduled appointment, but will need to bring the vaccine card they received at their first appointment.
