Moab Flash Flooding
MOAB Rocky Mountain Power crews repaired an outage that affected about 4,140 customers as flash flooding rushed through Moab Wednesday.
The city of Moab said crews were out and attempting to clear storm drains as flash floods swept through town. The city asked residents to stay away from low-lying road and parkway crossings, as well as residents near creeks to keep an eye on rising waters.
The Moab Police Department posted a local alert asking residents to refrain from leaving their homes and traveling on roadways while emergency crews continued to work. The alert also notified residents that sandbags are available at both the Grand County Road Department and at Moab City Public Works.
