CEDAR CITY A Cedar City man already charged with burying human remains in a cellar and pouring concrete over them is now directly accused of killing his mother.
Amended criminal charges have been filed in the case of Joshua James Glover, 33, in 5th District Court. Glover was originally charged in September with abuse or desecration of a body, a second-degree felony, but now he also faces a charge of murder, a first-degree felony.
Kay Gosewisch, 73, disappeared in April 2020. Police were first called to conduct a welfare check at her Cedar City home on July 31. But the investigation started to pick up momentum about two weeks later when officers were asked to look into suspicious activity regarding the woman s bank account. Her son, Glover, had attempted to withdraw several thousand dollars and had been using his mother s account regularly to withdraw money, according to court documents.
