He served as the chief of radiology for 20 years and chairman of the department of clinical studies for eight years at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine.
He has published more than 90 research papers and co-authored several radiology textbooks. Today, he is retired professor emeritus of veterinary radiology of the University of Pennsylvania. He has worked with the charity Seeing Eye Inc., which raises and trains dogs for blind people. He has received numerous awards over the years, including the Ohio State University’s Distinguished Veterinary Alumnus Award.
