Guy Fieri has been very giving throughout the pandemic to various restaurants across the country and founded the Restaurant Employee Relief Fund.
Fieri s fund has awarded 43,000 grants, at $500 each, since the fund started in March 2020.
In a recent interview, Fieri talked about how he sent personal emails to the CEOs of big businesses asking for donations.
Fieri shared that companies like PepsiCo, Uber Eats, and Procter & Gamble donated to the fund.
He also stated that Jeff Bezos did not donate anything to the restaurant fund.

In a recent interview with
Hollywood Reporter, Fieri explained that he had set up a relief fund for restaurant staffers shortly after the pandemic was declared. The Food Network star added that he was angered by the federal government s lack of relief for local restaurant staffers left unemployed during the pandemic.
Over the past year, Fieri sent emails asking CEOs of major corporations to donate to his relief fund, which has raised more than $25 million, according to the outlet. The fund eventually was able to award over 43,000 grants to restaurant staffers who lost their jobs due to the pandemic.

Food Network star Guy Fieri has claimed that Jeff Bezos founder of Amazon and the world’s richest man didn’t contribute to a restaurant emergency relief fund that the celebrity chef created to help out-of-work cooks, waiters, and other workers during the coronavirus pandemic.
In an interview with the
Hollywood Reporter, Guy Fieri said he drafted personal emails to powerful business leaders and received donations from companies including PepsiCo, Uber Eats, and Procter & Gamble. Among the people he solicited was Jeff Bezos, whose net worth is estimated at $200 billion.
“I’m not into shaming people and telling who didn’t donate, that’s not my style,” Fieri said, adding, “Jeff, by the way, didn’t help us.”
