Recall for Greggs pastries possibly containing glass sold in supermarkets in Ireland
A product recall has been issued for a brand of Gregg’s pastries which possibly contain glass and which were sold in a supermarket in Ireland.
The Food Safety Authority of Ireland issued the recall for Greggs Vegetable Bakes, which is a 310g, two pack product.
The affected products have best before dates of August 15, August 28, September 11 and 12 and September 26, 2021, according to the notice.

A free food safety training webinar is set to take place online next week, the Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) has announced.
This comes as the authority continues its ‘Breakfast Bites’ webinars, a series of free, informal virtual meetings for food businesses.
The third webinar in the latest series ‘Food Safety Training – What you Need to Know’ will be held on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 from 10:00am to 10:40am.
Ruth Conefrey, training and compliance manager with the FSAI, will outline to food businesses how they can comply with food safety training requirements.
Places are limited for the free webinar and registration is required, the authority notes.

In a new report, the College of Psychiatrists of Ireland has warned that cannabis represents the “gravest threat to the mental health of young people in Ireland today”.
Hospital admissions of young people with a cannabis-related diagnosis have quadrupled over a 12-year period.
The body is warning one in three young people become addicted if they use it weekly, or more often.
The College of Psychiatrists of Ireland said higher-potency cannabis and a “widespread conception” among the public that it is generally harmless has had “devastating effects”.

The report found 45,000 15-34 year olds in Ireland now meet the criteria for cannabis dependence.
