DUBAI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 15th Apr, 2021) The Food Banking Regional Network (FBRN), strategic partner in the 100 Million Meals campaign, is delivering food parcels to communities in 13 of the 20 targeted countries in the middle East, Asia and Africa.
Dubai-based FBRN, a network of food banks in 77 countries, will provide the logistical and transport services required to deliver food parcels to beneficiaries in Egypt, Sudan, Somalia, Angola, Uganda, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Tunisia, Jordan, Mauritania, Lebanon, Iraq and Yemen, in coordination with local food banks.

DUBAI, 15th April, 2021 (WAM) The Food Banking Regional Network (FBRN), strategic partner in the 100 Million Meals campaign, is delivering food parcels to communities in 13 of the 20 targeted countries in the Middle East, Asia and Africa.
Dubai-based FBRN, a network of food banks in 77 countries, will provide the logistical and transport services required to deliver food parcels to beneficiaries in Egypt, Sudan, Somalia, Angola, Uganda, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Tunisia, Jordan, Mauritania, Lebanon, Iraq and Yemen, in coordination with local food banks.

Yusuff Ali said: “The ‘100 Million Meals’ campaign is one of the most distinguished humanitarian initiatives, as it coincides with the Holy month of Ramadan and aims to lend a helping hand to families and groups most affected by the pandemic.”
“As a socially committed organisation, we have always believed in giving back to the community, and we pledge all our support for this noble deed,” said Yusuff Ali.
Last year, LuLu Group donated D1 million to the ‘10 Million Meals’ campaign, which provided 125,000 meals for individuals and families impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic in the UAE.
Yusuff Ali had also donated Dh3 million to support the construction of the Magdi Yacoub Global Heart Centre, named the Humanitarian Cause of the Year at Arab Hope Makers 2020, under the umbrella of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI).
According to MBRGI, the ‘100 Million Meals’ campaign that was announced by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, is the largest food drive of its kind in the Arab world. “It aims to provide food parcels to empower disadvantaged individuals and families across 20 countries in the Middle East, Asia and Africa to prepare their own meals during the Holy Month of Ramadan.”
The campaign’s target is to provide basic food items, sufficient to prepare up to 100 million meals. Every Dh1 donated will help provide one meal for beneficiaries in targeted countries including Sudan, Lebanon, Jordan, Pakistan, Angola, Uganda, Sierra Leone, Ghana, Tanzania, Senegal, Egypt, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Palestine.
