Faribault Emeralds Dance Team 30th State Trip
The Faribault Emeralds Dance Team captured the High Kick Section 1 Class 2A title and placed second in Jazz competition Saturday to qualify for the State Tournament for the 30th consecutive year. The Section Tournament was held in Winona.
The Emeralds have won 11 state titles. Ten High Kick, one Jazz according to a listing of title holders on the MSHSL website. Faribault is making their 30th consecutive trip to state.
The top three teams at sections qualify for the MSHSL State Tournament which will not be held at Target Center where it has been for many years.
