Updated: 4:49 PM CDT May 17, 2021 KMBC 9 News Staff The Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department s Sex Crimes Unit said it is attempting to identify a man in two recent aggravated assaults downtown.Police said the first assault happened near the parking garage of Barney Allis Plaza at Central and Wyandotte Avenue on May 9 at 9:15 a.m.Investigators said the second assault was reported in the parking garage at 1261 Main St. on Thursday at 6:28 a.m.Authorities said the man should be considered armed.Anyone who can identify the man or has any information is asked to call the Tips Hotline at 816-474-8477.

KCPD is looking for a man who exposed himself to two women near Brookside and Waldo on Tuesday.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. â The Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department is looking for a man who exposed himself to women near the Brookside and Waldo areas.
According to KCPD Sgt. Jake Becchina, the incidents happened on Tuesday morning.
The first incident happened just after 7 a.m. near West 57th Street and Summit Street. The second time it happened at 7:40 a.m. near West 70th Street and Brookside Road.

Updated: 8:14 AM CDT Apr 25, 2021 KMBC 9 News Staff The Kansas City Police Department said it is investigating a homicide in the area of E 29th Street and Jackson Avenue.Police said they were called to the area around 5 a.m. Sunday after a report of gunshots. Upon arrival, KCPD said officers did not locate a victim or a crime scene at the dispatched location. Officers then began searching the area and located a vehicle east of the area at E 29th Street and Kensington Avenue. At that location, officers located a male shooting victim.
