The discovery of Melissa Caddick s remains - more than three months after she vanished from her Sydney mansion - sent shockwaves around the nation. NSW Police Assistant Commissioner Mick Willing said today it was one of the most high-profile missing persons cases he had worked on in his 30 years on the force as dozens of investigators worked to find the missing conwoman. Ms Caddick, 49, was accused of conning her friends and family out of more than $20 million through her fraudulent investment business Maliver Pty Ltd. Ms Caddick disappeared from her Dover Heights home in the early hours of November 12, hours after investigators from the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) raided her house and told her she would need to hand in her passports the next morning.

Kings Cross businesses are calling for the removal of the Medically Supervised Injecting Centre from the downtrodden strip if the area is to thrive from the removal of the lockout laws.
The government revealed Sydneyâs remaining lockout laws will be axed next month and restrictions on Kings Cross lifted to allow venues to open beyond 1.30am.
NSW Customer Service Minister Victor Dominello on Tuesday said he wanted the precinct to be a place for bars and restaurants, where families came to enjoy themselves.
