New Delhi [India], February 3 (ANI): A Delhi court on Wednesday allowed a lawyer to remain present during the interrogation of an accused in Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) custody in an alleged bribery case involving senior railway official and others.
Special CBI Judge Sanjeev Aggarwal on Wednesday allowed the Advocate Ayush Jindal (Counsel) of Pawan Baid, an accused arrested by CBI in a bribery case, to remain present during the interrogation of the accused. ..However, he be made to sit at a distance beyond hearing range, but within the visible range/distance , Court said.

JAMMU, Feb 1: Mayor of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Chander Mohan Gupta here today laid foundation stone of a Community Hall at Pacca Talab near Bahu Fort.
Kavinder Gupta, Ex-Deputy Chief Minister; Vikram Randhawa, Ex-MLC; Vinay Gupta, BJP District Jammu President; Sharda Kumari, JMC Councillor Ward 47; Neeraj Puri, BJP Gandhi Nagar Mandal President and Councillor Ward 54; Rajeev Charak, senior BJP leader along with Arun Gupta, Executive Engineer; Vijay Kumar, Assistant Executive Engineer and others were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the Mayor said, the community hall was the long pending demands of the locals as they were facing hardship to perform functions in their locality as there is no sufficient space in the locality meant for such activities.

Officials from Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) Visakhapatnam conducted raids at the houses and properties of Assistant Executive Engineer, APEPDCL, Kommadi Division, Nageswara Rao, for allegedly amassing wealth disproportionate to his known sources of income, here on Thursday.
A team led by Additional SP, ACB, Shakeela Banu and DSP ACB (Visakhapatnam Urban) Ranga Raju have conducted searches simultaneously at seven various locations such as Seethammadhara, Seethampeta, Visalakshi Nagar, MVP Colony, Rambilli in Visakhapatnam district since Thursday morning.

OPSC Assistant Executive Engineer Prelims Result 2020-21 has been released on January 25, 2021. Candidates appeared in the OPSC AEE 2020-21 prelims exam can check their results on opsc.gov.in.
The OPSC AEE 2021 written examination was held for the recruitment of AEE, Civil engineers in the Panchayat Raj department. A total of 2742 (830-w) have provisionally been qualified in the preliminary written exam. Odisha Public Service Commission has uploaded the provisional list of selected candidates qualified in the preliminary exam for OPSC AEE 2020-21.

The State government on Monday ordered suspension of four engineers of Water Resources Department in the Public Works Department (PWD) in the wake of breach suffered by a check dam in Panruti taluk of Cuddalore district on Saturday.
Chief Engineer (Chennai Region), K. Asokan; Superintending Engineer, Pennaiyar basin circle, Tiruvannvamalai, N. Suresh; Executive Engineer (Lower Pennaiyar basin division), Villupuram, A. Jawahar and Assistant Executive Engineer (Lower Pennaiyar basin sub-division), Tindivanam, B. Sumathi were suspended from service with immediate effect, through orders issued by Principal Secretary of the PWD K. Manivasan.
The suspension had been made as the government was contemplating instituting an inquiry against the officials for lapses in the construction of the ₹ 25.35-crore check dam.
