Bahamian playing cards wins JA product of the year
After 15 weeks of learning the business ropes, a group of junior achievers was announced as winner of product of the year.
In third place in this year’s Junior Achievement (JA) company program competition was Bank of The Bahamas JA company Vision, with its “I Guud” COVID kits; followed by second place winners, Commonwealth Bank JA company XLeaders, with scented hand sanitizers. However, rounding out the competition in first place was BTC JA company BTC Glitch, with its winning product, Bahamian playing cards.

DeKALB – NIU Outdoor Adventures and the staff of NIU’s Lorado Taft Campus in Oregon, IL will host a series of monthly Nature Ed. classes. The first, about the winter activities of NIU’s wildlife, will be from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday at NIU’s West Lagoon.
Taught by Shannon Forney, Assistant Program Coordinator at Lorado Taft, the first class will cover identifying local animals, tracking them and discovering their activities during the winter, Forney said.
The purpose of these classes is not only to help students and local citizens learn more about DeKalb’s nature but also to display the kind of programming Lorado Taft offers as part of their Outdoor Education program.
