A second vaccination day was recently held by the Western Health and Social Care Trust for service users known to the Trust’s Adults with a Learning Disability (ALD) services, to help protect them from Covid-19. The first vaccination day was held on February 19, with the second on April 13 at the Western Trust’s mass vaccination centre at the Lakeland Forum, Enniskillen. Jabs were administered by the Trust’s vaccination team who were kindly assisted on the day by staff from ALD Services. Over 100 service users who avail of Western Trust Day Care or Day Opportunities attended across both sessions.

More than 1,200 people from impacted community receive first dose
Eligible Lynwood residents were anxious to roll of up their sleeves to receive the long-awaited COVID-19 vaccine (St. Francis Center)
St. Francis Medical Center hosted a community COVID-19 vaccine clinic on March 29 and provided 1,293 eligible Lynwood community members with their first COVID-19 vaccination. The clinic, one of the largest in the area, was a unique partnership between St. Francis Medical Center, California Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon’s office, the City of Lynwood, and Southeast Los Angeles (SELA) Collaborative to promote health equity and serve the Lynwood community, which is one of the most impacted communities in California.
