Green Party of Aotearoa New Zealand
The Green Party is joining the call for ‘brave policy action’ to address rapidly increasing inequality in New Zealand, which is likely to be exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
“All people in New Zealand, especially our tamariki, have the right to live with dignity, to put a roof over their heads and to put food on the table,” says Green Party Co-leader Marama Davidson.
“It’s completely unacceptable that in Aotearoa New Zealand we have this kind of child poverty and inequality.”
The Salvation Army’s latest State of the Nation report, released today, said the “rapid increase” of the number of children living in benefit-dependent households in the last year – up by 23,000 – is a sign child poverty rates could increase.

Yesterday, as part of the boondoggle that the incoming Biden administration will propose to wreck the United States economy, Biden pushed the idea of a $15 per hour federal minimum wage.
There should be a national minimum wage of $15 an hour. Nobody working 40 hours a week should be living below the poverty line.
(Joe has a nice chancre going there on that upper lip)
Along the way, he makes wild claims about the number of children…we are seriously back to the Clintonian “for the children” nonsense, aren’t we?…that will be lifted out of poverty, etc., etc.
Communistic Democrat Andrew Yang announced his candidacy for Mayor of New York, again. He announced it a while back and we reported it but few others did. Then we heard he was withdrawing because he couldn’t live in a little apartment here or something. Well, he’s back, and the technocrats like the idea.
“I moved to New York City 25 years ago,” Yang tweeted. “I came of age, fell in love, and became a father here. Seeing our City in so much pain breaks my heart,” he said.
He’s the candidate who pretended to cry over a shooting.
