UP man held for posing as state secretariat official for many years

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], June 12 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) on Friday arrested a man who had been allegedly masquerading as an official in the state's secretariat for many years.

Gangster killed in encounter with STF in Gorakhpur

The Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (UP STF) on Sunday shot dead an alleged gangster involved in a BSP leader’s murder over two years ago. The man, identified as Pervez Ahmed a sharpshooter, was shot dead in Gorakhpur.

COVID-19: NSA to be lodged against 3 for selling Remdesivir at higher rates in U P

Police in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur have said they will slap the National Security Act (NSA) against three persons who were arrested on charges of allegedly smuggling and selling Remdesivir, an injectable drug used in the treatment of COVID-19, at rates higher than in the market. The arrests come two days after the State government urgently procured 25,000 vials of Remdesivir from Gujarat due to the rise in number of cases and demand for the drug.
