The mosque plan comes in the wake of the Supreme Court order on the Ram Janmabhoomi title dispute case. In its November 2019 judgement, the apex court had ordered the Uttar Pradesh government to allot a separate five-acre land for the construction of a mosque in lieu of the place where the Babri Masjid once stood.
