Gorakhpur : , Jan 22 (IANS) After the Gorakhpur Mahotsav last week, it is now time for the Sunahri Mahotsav that celebrates Sunahri Kand , also known as Orange-Fleshed Sweet Potatoes, (OFSP) that is loaded with Vitamin A, fibre, potassium, protein, Beta Carotene and Chlorogenic acid.
The festival expected to be organized next month in Gorakhpur and will be inaugurated by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
The African super food OFSP is exclusively cultivated in Gorakhpur region and is an effective solution for treating malnutrition.
One gram of orange sweet potato provides 20 mg Vitamin A and fruit yield is completed within 100 to 112 days.

Lucknow, Jan 22 : Survey of India , the oldest scientific institution of the government of India, is making digital maps of villages with the help of drones for the first time. Through the digital mapping, Rural Residential Rights Record would be prepared in nearly 82,000 villages of the state. In the process villagers would be able to access records of every village and every house built in the village. The survey work is being carried out in seven districts of Bundelkhand to prepare digital maps with the help of drones. A target has been set to be completed in April this year under the supervision of the Revenue Council. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday will release financial assistance of around Rs 2,691 crores to 6.1 lakh beneficiaries in Uttar Pradesh under the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana - Gramin (PMAY-G). The event will commence at 12 noon via video conferencing.
On the occasion, he will be accompanied by Union Rural Development Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

New Delhi, Jan 20 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday released financial aid of Rs 2,691 crore to 6.10 lakh beneficiaries in Uttar Pradesh under the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G).
The Prime Minister released the amount through video-conferencing during an event attended by Union Rural Development Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
The assistance would include first instalment to 5.30 lakh beneficiaries and second instalment to 80,000 others who have already availed of the first instalment under the PMAY-G.
After releasing the financial assistance, the Prime Minister said the scheme is going to change the fortune of people residing in villages in the coming days.

Lucknow, Jan 20 (IANS): The Congress and the Samajwadi Party have strongly objected to a portrait of Veer Savarkar, also known as the father of Hindutva, finding a place at the Vidhan Parishad Picture Gallery which was inaugurated on Tuesday by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
Congress MLC Deepak Singh has written a letter to the Chairman UP Council, Ramesh Yadav, demanding the immediate removal of Savarkar s photo from the gallery. His (Savarkar) photo at the Picture Gallery is an insult to all freedom fighters. It should be removed immediately and can be placed at the BJP office, said the Congress MLC.
