Two deputies with the Salt Lake County Sheriff s Office were shot outside of the Salt Lake County Metro Jail. One officer is in critical condition after being shot in the eye, while the other officer is in stable condition after getting shot in the head. The suspect was killed, but authorities did not say how they died.

LOS ANGELES, April 10 (Xinhua) Two deputies were shot Saturday morning outside the Salt Lake County Sheriff Office in the U.S. state of Utah, while the shooter was killed on the spot, said the local police.
The shooting occurred around 10:30 a.m. local time on the north side of the office s parking lot near a bus stop, Salt Lake County Sheriff Rosie Rivera said during a press briefing.
She said the two injured deputies were part of the campus security team which oversees the office and the surrounding area near the Salt Lake County Metro Jail, 10 km south of downtown Salt Lake City downtown. The jail went into lockdown after the shooting.
