With the pandemic ongoing, some school districts are seeking alternative ways to provide for milestones such as the senior prom.
Chelmsford High School Principal Stephen Murray said, We have a tentative date and location for a senior event.
Murray added, We are trying to avoid a traditional prom-type venue, and a traditional prom-type function. Murray said, We should know more by the end of April vacation or earlier.
Westford Academy is planning a prom-style event over the course of several nights at Kimball s Ice Cream.
Dean of Students Betsy Murphy said the plan calls for holding the event May 25-May 27, with 150 participants each night. If we have to add a fourth night, it will be Monday, May 24, Murphy said.
