A Victorville man who previously served time in county jail is in custody again after he allegedly stole a vehicle and led authorities on a more than 50-mile pursuit that ended near Barstow.
The Victorville Sheriff’s Station reported that deputies arrested Mykcus Martinez Ceballos, 31, on Tuesday after he allegedly stole a BMW in downtown Victorville and led authorities on the high-speed chase.
Deputies responded to a report of a stolen vehicle in the 16500 block of D Street, where the reporting party saw a male subject enter a 2019 BMW that had been parked outside a business and drive away, the sheriff’s report said.
Hemet man, 25, pleads not guilty to Apple Valley carjacking

A 25-year-old Hemet man pleaded not guilty Tuesday to carjacking, stalking and other felony charges after he allegedly pointed a gun at a 50-year-old woman and took her vehicle in Apple Valley last week.
In Victorville Superior Court, Robert Garcia also denied several enhancements and also pleaded not guilty to making criminal threats, being a felon in possession of a firearm and preventing or dissuading a victim from reporting, court records show.
Deputies from the Apple Valley Sheriff s Station responded at approximately 7:20 p.m. Friday to the 12000 block of Standing Bear Road to the carjacking report, the sheriff s department said Tuesday.
Texas fugitive arrested in Apple Valley on attempted murder charge

Authorities announced Tuesday that deputies in Apple Valley arrested 19-year-old Cody Dupnik, a fugitive in Texas, on suspicion of the attempted murder of a 23-year-old man.
Officials with the Apple Valley Sheriff’s Station reported that at approximately 6:56 p.m. Saturday, deputies were dispatched to the 20000 block of Wisconsin Street regarding a stabbing.
Deputies at the scene found that the suspect, later identified as Dupnik, of Spring Branch, Texas, had stabbed an unidentified 23-year old man twice in the neck during an argument, the report said.
Dupnik and the victim are acquaintances and were at a residence near Deep Creek and Rock Spring roads when the attack took place, officials said. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Authorities on Monday, said deputies recently arrested a Hesperia resident in Victorville on suspicion of injuring a female and for firearm violations.
The Victorville Sheriff’s Station reported that at 11:13 p.m. Sunday, deputies responded to the report of an assault at the Travelodge Inn in the 12100 block of Mariposa Road.
At the scene, deputies discovered that the suspect, later identified as Chad Evan Young, 24, allegedly struck a 25-year-old female victim several times in the face and head with a firearm and his fist.
The unidentified victim, who knew the suspect, suffered multiple lacerations and a broken tooth. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment, the sheriff’s report said.
Suspects arrested in connection to Apple Valley man s 2018 murder

Authorities have arrested two men wanted for the murder of 22-year-old Curtis Smith, who was shot to death during a robbery in Apple Valley in 2018.
Booking records show Alexander Simmons, 27, and Treavion Jamar Early, 20, were picked up by local authorities at the Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas on Dec. 17. Simmons appeared in a Victorville courtroom for a video arraignment on Dec. 18, and pleaded not guilty to seven felony counts, including murder, first-degree robbery and first-degree burglary.
Simmons had a public defender appointed and his bail was set at $1.85 million, court records show. He is due back in court Dec. 29.
