Road work schedule released for Incline Village highway projects

  INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. The Nevada Department of Transportation and Q&D Construction will begin construction of the State Route 431/28 Tahoe Project beginning this month. The multi-year project will help revitalize and enhance the existing roadway and utility system helping preserve pavement and protect Lake Tahoe. The project includes repaving and some full reconstruction of SR 431 from the roundabout intersection with SR 28 to the Mt. Rose Summit and along SR 28 from stateline at Crystal Bay to south of Sand Harbor State Park. The project also includes water quality restoration of the Marlette Creek drainage system. Work will start Sundays at 8 p.m. and will end Fridays at noon, weather permitting.

Incline Village highway improvement projects approved

The highways haven’t been fully updated in 14 years. Provided INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. The Nevada State Board of Transportation approved a contract for a two-year transportation project to repave and enhance nearly 15 miles of highway centered around Incline Village. While the project will improve state routes 28 and 431, community members can anticipate intermittent lane closures and up to 30-minute travel delays on sections of SR-28 between Crystal Bay and south of Sand Harbor State Park and on Mt. Rose Highway from Incline Village to the Tahoe Rim Trailhead at Mt. Rose Summit during the 2021 and 2022 summer construction seasons. Highways near Incline Village to be improved and repaved during two-year $35M NDOT project

Fifteen miles of State Routes 28 and 431 around Incline Village will be repaved and improved during a two-year, $35 million project, the Nevada State Board of Transportation (NDOT) announced. A contract was approved this week with contractor Q&D Construction. The last time the highways were last fully reconstructed was nearly 14 years ago.
