Ms. Toni Annette Dillard was born in Coffee County, Tennessee on November 24, 1969 and was lovingly cared for by her parents Tom and Jeannette her entire life. She transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Alive Hospice – Murfreesboro, TN with her family by her side.
Toni attended Woodbury Grammar School and then transferred to Journey’s Adult Activity Center. She faithfully attended Journey’s for 29 years; until COVID-19 caused the facility to temporarily suspend services.
Toni always brought joy and happiness to everyone who met her. There were many affectionate nicknames for our Angel; sometimes known as: Stinker, Pumpkin, Sweetheart and Missy. Her favorite things were cartoons, Wheel of Fortune, listening to music, and her special rattle. You always knew when she was near, by the sound of her rattle. Wilson County health care workers hope to begin distributing a COVID-19 vaccine to vulnerable populations by the end of the month, according to a round table Zoom call held Thursday.
The countyâs 7-day case average stood at 132 the same day, and Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital President Jay Hinesley said the spread is expected to remain a threat through January based on current prediction models.
âThatâs a very concerning trend. Itâs having an impact on area hospitals, including this one,â he said. âWe set a record on Dec. 8 for hospitalizations across the state ⦠we did not set a record on the 9th, and that was the first day in several weeks that we had not set a new record for hospitalizations, so thatâs a positive sign.
