A Derry-based group will next month launch a series of events to give people the opportunity to discuss racial equality.
On February 6, the North West Migrants Forum (NWMF) will launch its first series of a year-long programme Choose to Challenge events in partnership with Belfast Islamic Centre and iAssist Northern Ireland.
The free online events have been organised to find meaningful pathways for representation and reclaim voices of Black and Minority Ethnic people in civic and public spaces .

HE has a role in stemming rural depopulation, deprivation
The concentration of universities in cities is contributing to depopulation and deprivation of rural areas in Norway and government should respond by legislating to decentralise higher education provision, according to a government report.
Universities and university colleges should be required by legislation to develop education opportunities in the rural districts for people living there, rather than encouraging people to move to the cities to study. The hope is that this would both encourage more people to stay and work in these areas and encourage more people from urban areas to study and build their lives in rural areas.
Volunteers reach Adomi bridge
Volunteers carrying the iconic all buttons portrait of Winnie Mandela by Isaac Aryeetey and the historic all beads portrait of Efua Nyarkoa by Florence Sottie reached Adomi Bridge on Friday en route to its launch at Amedzofe, on Afadzato.
The walk is part of volunteers effort to reach the peak of Afadjato with the artworks. These artworks would be commissioned as part of events marking the Decade of the Black Woman and Black Youth of Excellence.
These are Transformational Leadership events across all major African capitals to bring transformation and development at all levels of national endeavour.
