Session Court acquits AAP ex-MLA Manoj Kumar in 2014 assault case ANI | Updated: Dec 29, 2020 13:17 IST
New Delhi [India], December 29 (ANI): A session court decided to set aside the magistrate court order and acquitted Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) ex- MLA Manoj Kumar in a case of assaulting a woman in 2014 under Section 352.
Additional Session Judge Geetanjali Goel in an order passed on December 22 allowed the appeal of Kumar and set aside the judgment dated 13.08.2019 by which the appellant Kumar was convicted for the offense under Section 352 Indian Penal Code.
Earlier in 2019, the Magistrate court had held guilty/convicted him for the offence punishable under Section 352 IPC and sentenced him to seven days simple imprisonment.

SRINAGAR, Dec 23: The Centre should listen to the people s voice against the abrogation of Article 370 since it has itself termed the DDC polls as a victory of democracy, National Conference (NC) vice-president Omar Abdullah said today.
Abdullah, who was addressing party workers at NC headquarters Nawa-i-Subah, said the people have made clear their view by supporting the People s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) in the District Development Council polls. New Delhi [India], December 22 (ANI): Rambeer Shokeen, former Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Delhi s Mundka constituency, who had escaped the Uttar Pradesh Police s custody in 2018, has been arrested by the Delhi Police.
He has several cases filed against him in Delhi and in UP s Baghpat. The former MLA had escaped police custody when he was brought to Safdarjung hospital from Baghpat Jail in September 2018. Former Delhi MLARambeer Shokeen, who escaped UP Police custody when he was brought to Safdarjung hospital from Baghpat Jail in Sept 2018, has been arrested. He has several cases filed against him in Delhi and Baghpat, said Delhi Police.
