Senate elections: Polling agent Ali Gohar raises objection over voting process Published On The ongoing polling process in upper house of the Parliament is suspicious: Ali Gohar ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Member of National Assembly (MNA) and polling agent Ali Gohar on Wednesday has raised objection over the ongoing voting process for Senate elections. The agent has said that the electoral staff members are not honestly performing their duties as they are making different excuses to check the votes. The ongoing polling process in upper house of the Parliament is suspicious, he expressed. Ali Gohar further said that Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has been informed about the concerns.

Asks ECP to decide matter related to submission of false affidavit PHOTO: Express News ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has declared that it could not disqualify Federal Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda after his resignation from the National Assembly seat. The court has, however, directed the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to decide the matter of submission of allegedly false affidavit by Vawda along with his nomination papers for the July 2018 polls. An IHC single judge bench, presided over by Justice Aamer Farooq, issued on Wednesday a 13-page order after hearing a petition seeking disqualification of Vawda for allegedly lying about his dual nationality in his nomination papers.

Pashtuns protest at UN headquarters against rights violations in Pakistan ANI | Updated: Mar 04, 2021 06:43 IST Geneva [Switzerland], March 3 (ANI): Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) Europe branch on Tuesday (local time) organised a protest at the United Nations Headquarters in Geneva against gross human rights violations committed by Pakistan Army on innocent Pashtuns. Activists of PTM condemned the illegal arrests of Ali Wazir, Member of National Assembly (MNA) and leader of PTM, Hanif Pashteen, Yousaf Ali Khan, Owais Abdal, Idrees Khattak and more than 40 other PTM members who are languishing in prisons on false charges. PTM, the human rights movement of the Pashtun community, also condemned the targetted killing of four women workers of a non-government organisation (NGO) by local Taliban in Mir Ali, North Waziristan region of Pakistan.
