Belgium extradites Ioannis Lagos, Greek MEP and ex-cadre of the neo-Nazi Golden Dawn party

Greek MEP Ioannis Lagos, a former member of the neo-Nazi Golden Dawn party sentenced to more than 13 years in prison, was extradited on Saturday May 15 in Athens under an arrest warrant and handed over to the Greek authorities, a- we learned from an airport police source.
Ioannis Lagos, 48, arrested at the end of April in Brussels the day after his parliamentary immunity was lifted, arrived on Saturday shortly before 3.20 p.m. local (1.20 p.m. GMT) at Athens international airport, surrounded by Greek police, according to the same source. .

Recommender systems have a significant impact on how people access and share information online and what information they get to see. As Members of the European Parliament consider amendments to the Digital Services Act (DSA), ARTICLE 19 calls on them to ensure transparency, exposure diversity, more user choice in recommender systems, and unbundling of hosting and content curation.
The EU’s draft Digital Services Act primarily addresses the question of so-called ‘recommender systems’ – fully or partially automated systems used by platforms to determine what content to promote or demote to different users – in its Article 29.
