Former Pakistan PM Yousaf Raza Gilani responded to Imran Khan s address on Thursday saying the Prime Minister only called his own legislators for taking bribes.
Under mounting pressure from the Opposition to resign, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan announced on Thursday that he will seek a vote of confidence on Saturday. Khan made the announcement in a televised address to the nation during which he lashed out at the grand Opposition alliance for making a mockery of democracy and said that he will never let the corrupt politicians off the hook.

ISLAMABAD: As President Dr Arif Alvi has summoned a session of the National Assembly for Saturday when Prime Minister Imran Khan will seek a vote of confidence, the premier in his address to the nation lashed out at both the opposition and the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) for “foul play” in the Senator elections, especially on a seat from Islamabad which the government had lost.
A notification issued by the National Assembly Secretariat on Thursday said: “In exercise of powers conferred by clause (1) of Article 54 of the Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the President has been pleased to summon the National Assembly to meet in the Parliament building Islamabad on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 12:15 for the purpose of requiring the Prime Minister to obtain the vote of confidence from the National Assembly under Article 91 (7) of the Constitution of Islamic Republic

ISLAMABAD: Former prime minister and Senator-elect from Islamabad Yusuf Raza Gilani Thursday said Prime Minister Imran Khanâs move to get a fresh confidence vote from the National Assembly was confession of disorder in his ranks.
âIf remaining in power does not matter for Imran Khan, then why he is getting the vote of confidence just to save his government?â he remarked in his reaction to Imranâs speech on the state TV. Gilani said instead of criticizing his character, Imran should first look at his own deeds.
He said the prime minister was calling his own party members as thieves. âImran Khan used all state resources for ensuring the win of Dr Hafeez Sheikh but the Members of the National Assembly did not sell their conscience,â he said.
