BKT Tires named Presenting Sponsor of the LGT World Women s Curling Championship 2021 01/25/21
BKT Tires have increased their sponsorship of international curling as they become the Presenting Sponsor of the LGT World Women s Curling Championship 2021, being held in Schaffhausen, Switzerland from 19–28 March 2021.
The LGT World Women s Curling Championship 2021 will feature 14 teams competing for the world title and the first qualification places for the women s team event at the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games.
World Curling Federation President, Kate Caithness, said: In a year of challenges, we are delighted to have BKT Tires increase their sponsorship of our sport by becoming the Presenting Sponsor of the LGT World Women s Curling Championship 2021 in Schaffhausen, Switzerland.
New members appointed to World Curling commissions and committees 12/11/20
The World Curling Federation is pleased to confirm new member appointments to its Competition and Rules Commission and the formation of the Nominations Committee at the conclusion of the elections process.
On the Competition and Rules Commission, the newly appointed members are Susan Kesley (Scotland) and Katja Kiiskinen (Finland).
The role of the Commission is to review World Curling Federation Competitions and Rules and ensure they are fit for purpose. The Commission also considers proposals for changes submitted to it by Member Associations and the reports from Coach and Team Leader meetings held at each World Curling Championship which suggest changes to improve the game.
