LA Knight Touts WWE NXT Signing, WWE On Knight Arriving As One Of The Hottest Free Agents

LA Knight took to Twitter after WWE NXT “Takeover: Vengeance Day” to tout his signing with the company.
As noted, the former Eli Drake returned to NXT during the Takeover Pre-show and put the locker room on notice, warning that he has his eyes on any Superstar who is currently holding a title. A segment aired during Takeover that showed Knight signing his contract with NXT General Manager William Regal earlier in the day.
Knight re-tweeted a photo from that segment and wrote, “It’s official.”
Ring of Honor issued the following press release via ROHWrestling.com to announce the re-signing of Kenny King.
Ring of Honor is pleased to announce that Kenny King has re-signed with the company.
The announcement comes on the heels of King’s fellow La Faccion Ingobernable members RUSH, Dragon Lee and Bestia del Ring signing new ROH contracts.
Smooth in the ring and on the microphone, King has long been one of ROH’s most complete competitors.
King is a two-time former ROH World Television Champion and former ROH World Tag Team Champion. He won the Honor Rumble at G1 Supercard in 2019 before a sold-out crowd at Madison Square Garden.
Wrestling Legend Butch Reed Passes Away

Wrestling legend Butch Reed has passed away at the age of 66.
Reed’s official Instagram account announced this morning that the former WCW World Tag Team Champion passed away today due to heart complications.
“To everyone who reached out god bless you. Today we lost a great man. Due to heart complications Bruce ‘Butch’ Reed passed away. Butch is in heaven now with the wrestling god’s. I am sure he is already booked for a Heavyweight Championship match. Once again thank you for all the prayers. We will keep this page going in his memory. For funeral arrangements send me a dm for information if you would like to attend. God bless everyone and god bless in heaven ‘Hacksaw Butch Reed’,” they wrote on Reed’s account.
WWE And AEW Statements On Butch Reed Passing Away

WWE and AEW have both issued a statement on the passing of wrestling legend Butch Reed.
As noted earlier, Reed passed away today at the age of 66. His official Instagram account noted that he passed away due to heart complications. It was announced just earlier this week that the former World Tag Team Champion had already suffered two massive heart attacks in 2021.
AEW tweeted, “All Elite Wrestling joins the wrestling world in mourning the death of Butch Reed. Our thoughts are with his family, his friends and his fans.”
