MLW Fusion Preview (4/28): Tom Lawlor Vs. Marshall Von Erich, Rush/Reed Press Conference
Two years ago, “Filthy” Tom Lawlor crossed the line and opportunity for his friend at the time, Ross Von Erich, from reaching his potential at becoming the next MLW World Heavyweight Champion. Now, tensions have intensified, but this time, it’s toward Ross’ brother, Marshall Von Erich. Tonight, on MLW
Fusion, Lawlor will square off for the first time against Marshall in singles action.
After being sidelined with a knee injury for the last month, Marshall is ready to sink his teeth into this battle with Lawlor. Lawlor, the new and inaugural New Japan Strong Openweight Champion, is geared toward producing another notable victory. Can “Filthy” Tom prevail over his former friend, or will Marshall send Lawlor down and out with the Iron Claw?
Kenny Omega Bringing The Impact Wrestling World Title To AEW Dynamite Tonight
AEW has acknowledged World Champion Kenny Omega winning the Impact Wrestling World Title for just the second time this week.
As noted, Omega defeated Rich Swann in the Title vs. Title main event of Sunday’s Impact Rebellion pay-per-view. He will have his celebration ceremony during Thursday’s Impact episode on AXS TV, but now it’s been announced that Omega will also appear on AEW Dynamite tonight.
AEW has announced that we’ll hear from Omega on tonight’s Dynamite. As seen in the graphic below, they billed him as the AAA Mega Champion, Impact World Champion and AEW World Champion. It looks like Omega will be bringing all of his gold to Daily’s Place for tonight’s show.

AEW has announced that Kingston and Moxley will appear during tonight’s broadcast on TNT.
Moxley and Kingston have not been seen since being attacked two weeks ago by AEW World Champion Kenny Omega, AEW World Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks, and The Good Brothers. That attack came after Moxley teamed with The Bucks to face Omega and The Good Brothers, only for The Bucks to turn heel. Kingston tried to make the save for Moxley but he was also beat down.
Stay tuned for more on tonight’s Dynamite show and be sure to join us at 8pm ET for live coverage. Below is the updated card:
The Young Bucks On When They Will Be Done With Wrestling

AEW World Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks have been alerting fans when they’ve updated their Twitter bio over the last few days. Below is currently what’s written:
“Wrestling’s sweethearts. Needle movers. Goalpost chasers. Polarizing, self-made millionaires. Could’ve retired years ago so this is all extra credit. Done by 40.”
Interesting to note they want to be (presumably) done wrestling by 40 years old. Matt Jackson is currently 36, and Nick Jackson is turning 32 in July.
