In response to annual calls from the private sector as to how they can do more for women and girls, these companies will be sharing their expertise, platforms and audiences to spread the message of gender equality and how we can all do our part.

The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE or The Exchange) joined the rest of the world on Monday, 8 March 2021 to commemorate the International Women’s Day (IWD) and 7
th Ring the Bell for Gender Equality. With the theme “Choose to Challenge”, the event highlighted how Nigeria’s private sector is challenging gender inequality through policies and activities that promote equal opportunities for women.

Today and for the fifth consecutive year, Brazil’s exchange B3 ceremonially rang the opening bell to raise awareness of female economic empowerment, and to point out opportunities for the private sector when promoting gender equality and sustainable development.
Sustainable Stock Exchanges (SSE) coordinated the initiative, which brought together more than 100 exchanges across the world. The central theme of this year’s event was the role of female leadership towards an equal world, against a background of COVID-19.
DGCX marks Women’s Day with gender equality bell
DUBAI, 29 days ago To mark International Women’s Day (March 8), the Dubai Gold & Commodities Exchange (DGCX) joined dozens of exchange houses around the globe to celebrate the 7th annual ‘Ring the Bell for Gender Equality’ ceremony. The 2021 theme is “Women in leadership, achieving an equal future in a COVID- 19 world”. The initiative is a partnership between the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE), the Sustainable Stock Exchanges (SSE) Initiative, UN Women, UN Global Compact, Women in ETFs and International Finance Corporation and highlights the significant role of the private sector in advancing and empowering women in the workplace, marketplace and wider community.
