David Crockett is at tonight’s AEW Dynamite tapings in North Carolina and will be announcing for next week s AEW Dark: Elevation. Crockett came out in front of the audience prior to tonight’s Dynamite and joined Tony Schiavone and Paul Wight, the commentary team for AEW Dark: Elevation. AEW also tweeted that he was backstage, sharing a photo of him with Tony Schiavone and Jim Ross. From 1985 through 1988, Crockett and Schiavone were the announce team for World Championship Wrestling, the flagship show for Jim Crockett Promotion and later WCW. In 1988, Ross joined the team. Crockett left shortly after Ross joined and Crockett Promotions was sold to Turner Broadcasting, but remained with WCW as an executive producer for the company s television programming.
