IPL 2021: CA confirms Australians, except Covid-19 positive Mike Hussey, are en route to Maldives
Australia’s IPL 2021 participants have left India and will quarantine in Maldives before heading home.
Australian players flew off to Maldives, the South Africans headed home and the ones from New Zealand waited to be sent back on Friday as the suspended IPL’s foreign cricketers bid adieu to India.
The 40-strong Australian contingent, except for a Covid-positive Mike Hussey, left for Maldives on Thursday to serve out the waiting period before they can board a flight to Australia once the travel restrictions end on May 15.

NEW DELHI: New Zealand cricketers involved in the now suspended IPL, including captain Kane Williamson, are likely to remain in India at least till May 10 before flying to England for national duty, their players union chief said on Wednesday.
The remaining players as well as the support staff in various IPL teams and commentators could return home by charter flights arrange by the franchises, New Zealand Cricket Players Association head Heath Mills said.
Mills is expecting a revision in the travel restrictions for incoming travellers from India by the British government.

Colombo, April 12 : A 21-member Bangladesh squad, with three new faces in Test reckoning, arrived in Colombo on Monday to play a two-match Test series in Kandy from April 21.
The touring side, which will remain in a bio-bubble, will play a two-day warm-up game in Katunayake before heading to Kandy where both the Tests, which are a part of the World Test Championships, are scheduled.
Bangladesh had earlier announced a 21-member preliminary squad for the tour, with the return of Shuvagata Hom to the side. The uncapped pace trio of Shoriful Islam, Mukidul Islam Mugdho, and Shohidul Islam, have received their maiden call-ups after an impressive domestic season.
