SAN JOSE, CA - San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has signed defenseman Santeri Hatakka to a standard, three-year entry-level contract. Per club policy, the terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Hatakka spent the 2020-21 season with Ilves (Liiga) in the Finnish Elite League, where he posted seven points (one goal, six assists) and 34 penalty minutes in 44 games. He also appeared in five postseason games with Ilves, adding two penalty minutes.
Hatakka, 20, was also an assistant captain for Team Finland s bronze medal-winning World Junior Championships squad, where he had a strong performance, averaging nearly twenty minutes of ice time and posting two points (one goal, on
Lidia Valentin of Spain, who has won gold, silver and bronze medals at
the Olympic Games, is moving up to a new weight in an attempt to
qualify for Tokyo 2020.
Russia to hold Men s World Junior Team and Individual Squash Championships Friday, 7 May 2021
The World Squash Federation (WSF) Board has awarded the 2022 Men s World Junior Team and Individuals Championships to Russia for the first time, with competition set to take place in St. Petersburg.
This event will feature both a men s and women s individual competition, as well as the WSF Men s World Team Junior Championships, with these taking place at the RC Club and Squash Center Liga.
Dates have not yet been confirmed for the competitions, with these set to be revealed later this year. The WSF Men’s World Junior Team & Individuals Championships titles are the most coveted prizes in junior squash, said WSF President Zena Wooldridge.

With just four games remaining in the regular season schedule, the Wild will play its final home contests this weekend when the Anaheim Ducks come to town for back-to-back games at Xcel Energy Center.
The games mark the conclusion of a seven-game homestand for Minnesota and two games on the home docket before a season-ending trip to St. Louis for two games next week.
With less than a week remaining, much is left to be decided for Minnesota.
It s still alive to win the West Division crown, although those hopes took a big hit when the Wild lost to the Vegas Golden Knights 3-2 in overtime on Wednesday night.
