World Poker Tour Announces Season XIX Schedule Additions
Tour Will Make Stops In Florida, Maryland, Nevada, And Oklahoma
World Poker Tour is ready to turn the page and get back to business for season XIX.

World Poker Tour officially released its schedule of
2021 events on Wednesday. Players will find seven live events in the tour’s
19th season with several North America-based events returning to the schedule.
Following a record-breaking Season XVIII, the new live campaign kicks off with the WPT
Seminole Hard Rock Tampa from
June 18-22. The new event is one of three events held in
Florida in 2021 with two events also heading to
Las Vegas.
The extended Season XVIII included several massive turnouts in some of the tour’s final events earlier this year. Tour officials are hoping that signals even more interest in returning to the live tournament felt.
Daryl Hannah, Danny Bonaduce,
Natasha Henstridge,
Rosie O’Donnell, and numerous others. Players can expect plenty of interaction via the poker platform.
“We’re very excited about this year’s Poker Night, because the virtual platform is brand new and really amazing,” says Matt Asner, Ed’s son and co-founder of the center. “It’s cutting edge and allows our players to see and talk to one another in real time at their tables.
“This virtual poker night will be truly groundbreaking and the closest you’ll get to in-person, live table action. It’s light years ahead of the video game vibe we had last year. I can’t wait to see who has the best poker face.”
Anthony Zinno Wins WPT Player of the Year Award

Anthony Zinno capped an incredible campaign during Season XIII of the World Poker Tour by being named the WPT Player of the Year.
The announcement was made official after the elimination of Darren Elias from the WPT World Championship at the Borgata, as Elias was the only other player with a chance to surpass Zinno for the title.
Zinno won the award after a year that saw him become just the third player ever to win three WPT titles in his career.
The World Poker Tour Online Series began on May 14 and this week is the final days of tournament action. Players still have plenty of time to compete in major events, even though a few highlights have already finished up. Three High Roller events just finished up including the Super High Roller, featuring a $1 million guaranteed prize pool.
The event had a $25,000 buy-in and the field was full of top competitors. A total of 43 players bought into the event, which pushed the prize pool to $1,075,000. In the end, it was online poker pro Benjamin Rolle who earned the first-place win. Rolle plays via the handle “bencb789” online and he won the event after defeating Artur Martirosian in heads-up play.
