A Bishop Seabury Academy team once again proved its global knowledge by winning a regional Academic WorldQuest competition for the second year in a row.
As the winner of the 17-team Kansas City, Mo., area regional, the Bishop Seabury team will compete in the national tournament next month, according to a news release from the International Relations Council, which hosted the regional event.

Award-winning journalist Mike Chinoy of Northampton will be featured in a March 24 virtual presentation about his book on human rights activist Kevin Boyle.

When Mike Chinoy was growing up in Northampton, he was encouraged to follow interests that other teens might have found unusual.
“A senior in high school, interested in Chinese? But my parents always encouraged me to read and to explore interests that might seem unconventional,” says the now-68-year-old journalist and author.
Chinoy’s passions led to his hiring as one of CNN’s first foreign correspondents. These days, his time is spent with think tanks and institutes, connected with the University of Southern California, and with work on a new book chronicling the history of American journalists in China.
Under the leadership of president and CEO Dr. Larry Schlesinger, the internationally recognized Texas Biomedical Research Institute was ready to take on COVID-19 therapy and vaccine model development within weeks of the World Health Organization's pandemic declaration, to get them safely through the pipeline as fast as possible.
