Petra Vlhová won her first International Ski Federation (FIS) Alpine Ski World Cup race since January 3 in Jasná to cut Lara Gut-Behrami s lead at the top of the overall standings to just 36 points.
Vlhová was second after the first giant slalom run, 0.16sec behind Mikaela Shiffrin of the United States, but consistency would hand the Slovakian the victory on home snow.
Runs of 1min 08.51sec and 1:08.15 gave Vlhová a final time of 2:16.66 - coincidently enough for victory by 0.16sec.
Alice Robinson of New Zealand was second, thanks to a blistering second run which at 1:07.49 was the fastest of the day.
