Major theme parks are now open all over the country and fans are flocking back to their favorite attractions. But while simply being open is enough for many, the theme parks themselves are back at work finishing brand new experiences as well. At Universal Orlando Resort s Islands of Adventure that means the brand new Jurassic World Velocicoaster, and now the park s Twitter account is teasing the upcoming roller coaster and getting me even more hyped for it.
Jurassic World Velocicoaster is still more than a month away for the general public, but the hype is building to a fever pitch. The new roller coaster has been the main topic of conversation surrounding Universal Orlando Resort since before the theme park would even admit it was real, but now it s almost here and it s getting incredibly difficult not to get excited.
Universal s Jurassic World VelociCoaster Opens for Previews

Universal Orlando Resort today opened its Jurassic World VelociCoaster for annual passholder previews.
Initial reactions on social media were almost exclusively enthusiastic for the Islands of Adventure coaster, which the resort is dubbing Florida s tallest and fastest launch coaster. The Intamin track runs 4,700 feet and features two launches, a two-second LSM launch from 0 to 50 mph, and a 2.4-second LSM boost from 40mph to the ride s top speed of 70 mph.
The track s Top Hat measures 155 feet, with a barrel roll above the Islands of Adventure lagoon providing another signature moment. The ride s queue and preshow features multiple animated velociraptors as well as filmed appearances from Jurassic World stars Bryce Dallas Howard, BD Wong, and Chris Pratt, who reprise their roles in the films.

New Florida Public Health Advisory States Fully Vaccinated People No Longer Required to Wear Face Masks
The Florida Department of Health announced a state surgeon general public health advisory that made changes to earlier guidance on COVID-19 safety practices in the state. Most notably, the advisory rescinds advising fully vaccinated individuals to wear face coverings.
In the latest health advisory, it is stated that “due to COVID-19 widespread vaccine availability, fully vaccinated individuals should no longer be advised to wear face coverings.”

That s when Universal Orlando s highly anticipated Jurassic World VelociCoaster opens to the public. On Friday, the theme park shared new photos of what riders can expect when they walk inside the attractions queue line leading up to a heart-pounding roller coaster ride!
From the moment you enter, riders will be confronted by Velociraptors the blockbuster Jurassic World films – including fan-favorite Blue, along with Charlie, Delta and Echo – as they prepare to join the hunt alongside the ferocious pack in an epic, high-speed coaster chase.
