IJF signs MoU with United Nations Alliance of Civilisations

Monday, 15 February 2021 A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the International Judo Federation (IJF) and the United Nations Alliance of Civilisations (UNAOC). The MoU was signed by IJF President Marius Vizer and UNAOC High Representative Miguel Ángel Moratinos. Established by the United Nations in 2005, the UNAOC aims to build bridges between societies and promote dialogue and understanding.  It also strives to restore mutual respect between people of different cultures, traditions and religions. FIAS and UNAOC sign Memorandum of Understanding

Monday, 25 January 2021 The International Sambo Federation (FIAS) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC). Under the MoU, the organisations will work together to promote the UNAOC’s One Humanity campaign, which calls for solidarity, compassion and unity in the face of discrimination and division. According to the MoU: Both parties will work on potential collaborative efforts to reinforce the message of mutual respect, intercultural dialogue and tolerance. The organisations say they will work together to draw attention to the importance of recognising by everyone the multicultural global community as one humanity, as well as to support and respect each personality.

FITEQ s ranking in top 10 International Federations on social media showcases global growth of teqball

  01/19/21 The International Teqball Federation (FITEQ) has been ranked seventh overall in the BCW International Federation 2020 Social Media Ranking, whilst the governing body is ranked second amongst non-Olympic sports, demonstrating the global growth of teqball in recent years. This is the first year in which non-Olympic IFs have been included in the ranking, with FITEQ’s continued growth on social media in recent years placing amongst leading Olympic sports in the 2020 ranking. Teqball has 3.79 million fans across its digital platforms and is ranked in the top 10 for followers on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok for Olympic and non-Olympic IFs. FITEQ experienced significant growth on its social media channels in 2020, with digital content key to the sustained growth of teqball athletes and fans during the COVID-19 pandemic.

United Through Sports and Swiss Faustball among IFA Awards winners Sunday, 10 January 2021 The International Fistball Association (IFA) has crowned winners of its 2020 awards during a virtual ceremony, with United Through Sports (UTS) President Stephan Fox among them. The IFA Awards were launched in 2019, and the latest edition included honours for sport welfare, media work and a lifetime achievement award. Fox and UTS chief executive Julia Govinden received the IFA 2020 Sport for Good Award due to their organisation of the United Through Sports World Virtual Youth Festival. More than 80 sports organisations came together for the event under the patronage of the International Olympic Committee, International Paralympic Committee, Special Olympics International, SportAccord and the Global Association of International Sports Federations.
