Megachurch Pastor Andy Stanley’s birthday is on Sunday, and he’s hoping his supporters will gift him 500 bicycles for a good cause.
The leader of the multi-campus North Point Community Church in Alpharetta, Georgia, wants to gift the bikes to students in Fulton County, so his church has launched a bike drive seeking new or gently used bicycles that can be dropped off at the church located at 4350 North Point Parkway in Alpharetta.

North Boulevard Church of Christ s School of Christian Thought will host Lysa TerKeurst, president of Proverbs 31 Ministries, May 14-15.
Proverbs 31 is a nondenominational, non-profit Christian ministry focused on reaching women. An Evening with Lysa TerKeurst is set for 7 p.m. May 14 at the church, 1112 N. Rutherford Blvd. in Murfreesboro, for an intimate speaking engagement that is free and open to the public. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and worship starts at 6:30 p.m.

ANGOLA â Trine University will present an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree to Mike Packnett, chief executive officer of Parkview Health, during its commencement ceremony on Saturday.
Packnett oversees the not-for-profit healthcare system, which, with more than 12,000 employees, is the largest employer in northeast Indiana. Trine University has greatly benefited from the leadership and friendship of Mr. Packnett and his Parkview colleague, Rick Henvey, president of healthcare operations, who sits on the Trine University Board of Trustees, said Earl D. Brooks II, Trine president. Through their guidance and Parkview s generous support, our campus community has benefited from student scholarships, the Parkview/Sports One Softball Field, the Thunder Ice Arena, and the Parkview Health Basketball Court located within the MTI Center. Parkview also serves as the current home to our expanding College of Health Professions in Fort Wayne.
