UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, is offering a full-time position within the Greening & Sustainability Project in our Global Mobility and Infrastructure (GMIS) Section.

-Collection and analysis of energy data
-Development of energy access projects and programmes
-Establish partnerships and allocate resources
-Extend existing national and international development programmes to encompass refugees’ needs.
A resource-effective approach is to identify existing national and international rural electrification and clean cooking access programmes and expand these to include refugees, and the surrounding communities.
The overall objective of this assignment is to map existing national energy programmes, planned energy programmes and key actors and donors in areas where refugee camps and settlements are located. The detailed overview will take into account existing energy infrastructure, development programs, energy opportunities for fundraising as well as policy revision and national government and donors engagement.
