© press A jail reform group, led by Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors, spent almost $26,000 on holding meetings at an exclusive luxury beach resort in Malibu, California, campaign finance records have revealed. Cullors Los Angeles-based  Reform LA Jails dropped thousands of dollars on multiple  “meetings and appearances” at the Calamigos Guest Ranch and Beach Club in just three months during 2019, the records show. The group spent $10,179 at the club and another $15,593 at the Malibu Conference Center, a corporate facility owned by the resort. The records, which were obtained by The Daily Caller, cover the time period between July and September 2019.

Cullors’ nonprofit, Dignity and Power Now, was warned by California’s attorney general’s office in March over its failure to file all the required financial documents for 2019. According to state records, Dignity and Power Now is currently delinquent in California, where it is incorporated. A delinquent organization may not engage in any activity for which registration is required, including solicitation or disbursing of charitable assets, reads an earlier warning sent to Cullors’ nonprofit from California’s Registry of Charitable Trusts, which was first reported by the Daily Signal.
