BANGKOK (AP): Police in Thailand said Tuesday (May 25) that 28 assault rifles intended for defence volunteers are missing in the country’s deep south, which has been wracked by a Muslim separatist insurgency for the past 17 years.
The government on Monday ordered border security agencies to increase their patrols and suppression measures to prevent people entering Thailand illegally and spreading Covid-19 around the country.

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has stressed that the inoculation campaign to be launched by the government from June 1 will be via three channels - the Mor Prom (Doctors Ready) platform, onsite registration and special groups, said Mr Anucha.
