Replay Video UP NEXT The city of Fresno, California, has agreed to settle two federal civil rights lawsuits in less than a month stemming from fatal police shootings, including one in which a teenager suspected of being involved in a homicide was shot in the back of the head on the property of a child daycare center, officials said. The Central California city of just over 500,000 people announced a tentative $4.9 million settlement in the 2017 police shooting of 16-year-old Isiah Murrietta-Golding just days after announcing it was settling a lawsuit for $4.4 million in the 2015 fatal police shooting of 45-year-old Casimero Shane Casillas.

LOMITA (CNS) - Los Angeles County Sheriff s Department deputies exchanged shots with an assault suspect following a pursuit that ended in the Lomita area today, but no one was injured.
The suspect opened fire on deputies at some point after the pursuit ended and the deputies returned fire, CBS2 reported.
It was not immediately clear how or where the pursuit began, but it ended at about 3:30 p.m. in the 26600 block of Western Avenue, on the border of Lomita and Los Angeles, near Palos Verdes Drive, according to Deputy Grace Medrano of the Sheriff s Information Bureau.
