Polavaram (Andhra Pradesh) [India], February 11 (ANI/PRNewswire): One more milestone achieved today in Polavaram Project. The most critical and important part of the project, the Spillway pillers construction, has completed on Thursday. With this, the dreams of AP lifeline will soon be realised.
The government of AP is insisting on completing the project on schedule. Chief Minister, YS Jagan and the ministers are reviewing the project progress regularly and keep the works on a brisk pace. The execution agency, Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Limited (MEIL) working on three shifts, day and night, to complete the project.

Olectra-Evey Trans receives LoA from PMPML for 350 electric buses worth Rs 700 cr
Hyderabad, Jan 29 (UNI) Electric mobility leader and pioneer in electric bus manufacturing, Olectra Greentech Limited (OGL) and Evey Trans Private Limited (EVEY) has received the Letter of Award (LoA) from Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) for 350 electric buses worth Rs 700 crore under FAME-II scheme of the Government of India.
They also become the Least Quoted (L-i) bidders for 300 electric buses from Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC).
This order is for the supply of 350 electric buses on Gross Cost Contract (GCC) / OPEX model basis for a period of 12 years, OGL, a part of Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Limited (MEIL), headquartered in Hyderabad, which, pioneered the introduction of electric buses in India in 2015, said in a release here on Friday.

According to engineers, work on the first gate will start on Monday and completed by the same evening. Each gate will be 20.835 metres height and 15.96 metres in width. DC Image
KAKINADA: The mega Polavaram Project on Godavari River has reached a crucial stage with all arrangements made for fixing the first gate at the spillway on Monday. A total of 48 gates will be installed at the project, which will be operated hydraulically on the spillway at a height of 55 metres.
