Ucross, the renowned artist residency program, today announced that energy executive Chad Deaton has joined its Board of Trustees. Deaton is chairman of the Board of Directors at Transocean and a director of the University of Wyoming Foundation. He has also served as co-chair of the Wyoming Governor’s Task Force for the University of Wyoming’s new Engineering and Applied Sciences Center. Ucross, an artist residency program and creative laboratory for the arts in northeast Wyoming, today announced playwright Branden Jacobs-Jenkins as its newest board member. Jacobs-Jenkins, whose work includes Everybody (Signature Theater), Neighbors (Public Theater), An Octoroon (Soho Rep, OBIE Award for Best New Play), Appropriate (Signature Theater, OBIE Award for Best New Play, Outer Critics Circle nominee), Gloria (Vineyard Theater, 2015), and War (Yale Rep, forthcoming), is a former Ucross Fellow.
