The provision of new technology toolsets by big tech
companies, coupled with more accessible venture capital
funding in New Zealand, means it is now easier than ever
before to fund a digital start-up.

alongside government agencies and big tech, since it was
founded by software specialists David Hallett and Jeremy
Hughes in 2012.

A Company-X developer is doing his bit in the fight against COVID-19.
Company-X software developer Mark Nikora has joined the fight against COVID-19 by volunteering his time to a project designing and building low-cost remote control medical ventilators.
Nikora, who joined Company-X in March after 20 years as an information technology lecturer at Waikato Institute of Technology (Wintec), has been volunteering for the charitable Arden Auxiliary Medical Trust since January.

HAMILTON, NEW ZEALAND: An award-winning
expert in Microsoft and Unity 3D, 2D, augmented and virtual
reality technologies has joined New Zealand Agile software
specialist Company-X.
Five-time winner of the
Microsoft Most Valuable Professional, Developer Technologies
award, Jiadong Chen, recently joined Company-X.
Chen
is one of 3,000 Microsoft Most Valuable Professional award
winners internationally, recognised by Microsoft as one of
the technology industry’s best and brightest five years in
a row.
