Domestic Violence Awareness Scavenger Hunt | News, Sports, Jobs

May 1, 2021 Ozer Ministries, Inc. of East Palestine has announced the winner of the virtual Domestic Violence Awareness Scavenger Hunt Barb Kliner of East Palestine. Barb said of her experience, “Just my participation involved discussions with over 10 people in my community. And in doing the research I learned a lot that I was not aware of.” Barb enlisted friends to take a picture for one of the scavenger hunt items, which was saying “no” in a creative way. The title of her picture is “Domestic Violence Angels.” When contacted, Barb generously donated her winnings back to the ministry. Barb had a hard time finding a poster about domestic violence in a public place and wants her donation to go to designing and purchasing posters to distribute within the community. Pictured are Daryl and John Hersh of Ozer Ministries presenting Barb with a symbolic check. Ozer plans to have another virtual scavenger hunt in October to coincide with Domestic Violence Awareness Month. (Sub
