KUCHING, April 3 The government will not rush into resuming export of chicken eggs to Singapore before ensuring the product is completely safe, said Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP) Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi.
He said it is important to make sure that the eggs are cleared of the Salmonella Enteritidis (SE) bacteria.
KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): The Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry is assessing the impact on egg supply in the domestic market in collaboration with the Veterinary Services Department and Health Ministry.
JOHOR BARU: A couple is crying foul over two compounds issued by the Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry to them for not wearing face masks even though there were no customers in the premises at the time.
Hong Chee Sheng, 52, who owns a school uniform shop in Taman Johor Jaya here, said he had pulled down his face mask to his chin while standing at the front counter at around 3pm on March 7 since there were no customers.
“I noticed a man outside my shop so I quickly put on my face mask properly before walking out, thinking that he was a customer.

KOTA BARU, March 6 The Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry (KPDNHEP) is implementing a box and log book for inspection by enforcement officers at petrol stations located at the country’s borders as another measure to contain the smuggling of subsidised petrol and diesel.
Its Minister, KPDNHEP, Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi said the box and log book would enable KPDNHEP to monitor the movements of foreign vehicles entering to fill petrol at the stations near the border.

JOHOR BARU, March 4 The Johor branch of the Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry (KPDNHEP) seized 18,940 boxes of health products worth RM1.89 million in a raid on a premises in Kempas, here, yesterday.
The 4pm raid was carried out by 10 enforcement officers following a public complaint regarding a direct sales business suspected to be unregistered.
Johor KPDNHEP director Mohd Hairul Anuar Bohro said the raid, however, did not involve any arrests.
