Digital Doers and Dreamers Guide Invites Nova Scotians to Plan their Vacations
The 2021 Doers and Dreamers Guide is now available on NovaScotia.com.
Filled with exciting itineraries and business listings from each tourism region in the province, this year’s guide features a striking cover image of a young girl watching the Bluenose II, in celebration of the 100
th anniversary of the launching of the Bluenose. The photograph was taken by Angie Larkin-Turner of Westville, Nova Scotia. It’s a beautiful guide that celebrates who we are and the many amazing experiences that are available in Nova Scotia,” said Labi Kousoulis, Minister of Inclusive Economic Growth and Minister responsible for Tourism Nova Scotia. I encourage Nova Scotians to read through the guide to get ideas and inspiration for the many things we can do – and businesses we can support – right here in our own backyard.”

The province and industry leaders are recognizing the resilience and dedication of the people in Nova Scotia’s tourism industry during Tourism Week in Canada, May 23 to 30.
“We have seen incredible strength, ingenuity and commitment from the entrepreneurs, employees and volunteers in our tourism industry who make Nova Scotia a place where people want to live and visit,” says Labi Kousoulis, Minister of Inclusive Economic Growth and Minister responsible for Tourism Nova Scotia. “While this has been an incredibly difficult time for the industry, their efforts will help Nova Scotia make a strong economic recovery. Better and brighter days are in sight as we stick to public health guidelines and reach vaccination milestones.”
The Ghanaian-German Centre for Jobs, Migration and Reintegration (GGC), in partnership with the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations (MELR), has launched the hybrid edition of the Ghana Job Fair at a ceremony held in Accra.
New data on the movements of Nova Scotians shows a major drop in retail shopping and transit use as strict COVID-19 restrictions continue. A deputy minister says it is a sign people are following public health rules.
